A boat takes you out to the reef protected by Cahuita National Park, the most important coral reef on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. Meet Kenry.

Kenry is a former park ranger and a certified tour guide trained at Costa Rica’s National Training Institute (INA). He guides in English and Spanish, and knows some of the Bribri language too.

What are the best tours in Cahuita?

Most visitors do two things: a guided walk in Cahuita National Park, where a guide spots the sloths, basilisks and other wildlife you would miss, and a boat snorkel on the park’s coral reef, the most important reef on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. Will we see dolphins?

Sometimes. Dolphins have shown up on some boat trips, but it is never guaranteed.

Can we go with kids?

Families with young children have joined the snorkel boat, and the crew accommodated them. Tell Kenry the ages when you book.

Where is the office and when is it open?

In Cahuita centre (Talamanca, Limón), open every day, Monday to Sunday. Bookings on WhatsApp are 24/7: arrived late at your hotel? Message anyway. Cahuita is a short drive north of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca.
